The Quantum Africa conference series is held in Africa and focuses on quantum science and technology. The series aims to engender exchanges and collaborations between African countries and between Africa and the rest of the world, to enable Africa to play a leading research and development role, and to raise African stakeholder awareness of opportunities.

The 2025 edition of Quantum Africa 7 (QA7) offers a unique opportunity for all quantum stakeholders to share methodologies tailored to the utilization and management of quantum technologies in various contexts. This edition aims to:
– Foster dialogue between scientific researchers and professionals in the quantum sector.
– Establish a platform for discussion and exchange of experiences among national and international stakeholders on the theme of quantum.

Venue

This conference will be held in Kénitra, Morocco, a vibrant city located in the northern Morocco. Known for its rich history and proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, Kénitra enjoys a mild climate with pleasant temperatures year-round. The city is easily accessible, with direct transportation links, including frequent train services from major cities like Casablanca and Rabat.

Previous Conferences

Quantum Africa has a rich history of fostering collaboration and innovation in the quantum field across the African continent. The 6th edition (2022) was held in Kigali, Rwanda, with both in-person and online participation. Prior editions include the 5th (2019) in Stellenbosch, South Africa, known as the « City of Oaks, » and the 4th (2017) in Tunis, Tunisia, highlighting the region’s vibrant culture. Earlier, the 3rd edition (2014) took place in Rabat, Morocco, while the 2nd (2012) was hosted in the serene Northern Drakensberg, South Africa. The journey began with the 1st Quantum Africa (2010) in Durban, South Africa, laying the foundation for this influential series of conferences.
